Position Summary

We are seeking a Sales Applications Engineer at SKYRE, Inc. provide pre- and post-technical sales support to customers and sales representatives to determine which products and/or services best fit the customers’ needs. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for assessing and engineering the interface between SKYRE’s products and specific customer applications; supporting the  development of systems and subsystems required to integrate SKYRE’s products with the customers’ processes, including heat treating furnaces, semiconductor tools, and hydrogen energy equipment; executing laboratory analyses and tests; and various other activities.  As Applications Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams in an environment that is customer-driven, quality focused, and growth oriented.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform customer requirements analysis to determine methods for integrating SKYRE’s H2RENEW product with customer heat treating furnaces and semiconductor tools

  • Determine installation requirements, including pretreatment to remove contaminants harmful to electrochemical system and method of integrating with furnace, tool or other process or production equipment.

  • Perform the function of technical liaison between engineering and the sales team. 

  • Provide equipment functionality and capability reports, application notes, and product update summaries to the sales force.

  • Identify areas for product improvement or needs for new products and product options.

  • Travel required to support sales, up to 75% time, mainly in US but also some international travel

  • Other duties may be added while performing in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience.

  • Minimum Associate degree in Engineering Sciences or equivalent.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field desired, but not required. 

  • Experience with 3D CAD software.

  • Two to five years of experience.

  • Knowledge of compressed gases, hydrogen safety and installing electrical equipment. 

  • Industrial gas delivery equipment product knowledge a plus.

  • Familiarity with materials processing (metals heat treating and semiconductor fabrication), hydrogen production, and hydrogen energy operations.

  • Experience using the Office Suite of software products required

  • Use of CRM (Salesforce) desired, but not required.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills a must.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities.

  • Capable of working well in a multi-disciplinary team environment with high degree of collaboration.

  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

  • Attention to detail and good workmanship standards.

Working Conditions

  • Light physical effort; frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

  • Standing, bending and lifting up to approximately fifty pounds during a typical eight-hour workday.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
